Tactile Pin-pressure Brain-computer Interface

چکیده
The abstract presents a tactile pinpressure stimulus-based brain-computer interface (BCI) paradigm. The 3x3 pressure pin matrix stimulus patterns are presented to the users in an oddball paradigm allowing for brainwave “aharesponses” generation to attended targets. Our research hypothesis is confirmed with the results with five users performing online BCI experiments.

A review on EEG based brain computer interface systems feature extraction methods
The brain – computer interface (BCI) provides a communicational channel between human and machine. Most of these systems are based on brain activities. Brain Computer-Interfacing is a methodology that provides a way for communication with the outside environment using the brain thoughts. The success of this methodology depends on the selection of methods to process the brain signals in each pha...
متن کاملMulti-command Chest Tactile Brain Computer Interface for Small Vehicle Robot Navigation
The presented study explores the extent to which tactile stimuli delivered to five chest positions of a healthy user can serve as a platform for a brain computer interface (BCI) that could be used in an interactive application such as robotic vehicle operation. The five chest locations are used to evoke tactile brain potential responses, thus defining a tactile brain computer interface (tBCI). ...

متن کاملMulti-command Tactile Brain-computer Interface Using the Touch-sense Glove
The project reported in this abstract aims to confirm whether a tactile stimulator ”touch– sense glove” is effective for a novel brain-computer interface (BCI) and whether it would improve BCI classification accuracies. We also report that tactile stimuli delivered to fingers could be utilized to evoke event related potential (ERP) responses with an attention modulation. The designed new stimul...
متن کاملMulti-command Tactile Brain Computer Interface: A Feasibility Study
The study presented explores the extent to which tactile stimuli delivered to the ten digits of a BCI-naive subject can serve as a platform for a brain computer interface (BCI) that could be used in an interactive application such as robotic vehicle operation. The ten fingertips are used to evoke somatosensory brain responses, thus defining a tactile brain computer interface (tBCI). Experimenta...
